Written estimates provided by Lemon Grove Deck & Fence are based on conditions observed at the time of the site visit. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing.
An estimate is not a binding contract. Work will not begin until a written service agreement is signed by both parties and any required deposit is received. Changes to the scope of work after a contract is signed may result in revised pricing. Any change orders must be agreed upon in writing before additional work proceeds.
Conditions discovered after work begins - such as hidden rot, substandard existing framing, or unforeseen site conditions - that materially affect the scope of work may require a written change order and adjustment to the contract price.
Project start dates are estimates and may be affected by permit review timelines, material availability, weather, or other factors outside our control. We will communicate scheduling changes as promptly as possible.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a project after signing a contract, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. Cancellation terms, including any applicable deposit forfeiture, will be specified in your written service agreement.
Lemon Grove Deck & Fence reserves the right to reschedule work due to unsafe weather conditions, permit delays, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control, without liability for the delay.
Payment terms are set out in the written service agreement for each project. Typical arrangements require a deposit at contract signing, with the remaining balance due upon project completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payments are due in accordance with the schedule in your service agreement. Overdue balances may be subject to a late payment fee as specified in that agreement. Lemon Grove Deck & Fence reserves the right to suspend or cease work on a project where payment obligations are not met.
Under California law, Lemon Grove Deck & Fence may have the right to file a mechanics lien on your property if payment is not received for completed work. We hope to resolve any payment disputes directly, but we reserve all legal remedies available to us.
Where required by the City of Lemon Grove or other applicable jurisdiction, Lemon Grove Deck & Fence will obtain the necessary building permits before commencing work. Permit fees are typically included in or itemized within the written estimate.
The customer is responsible for disclosing any homeowners association (HOA) rules or deed restrictions that may apply to the project. Lemon Grove Deck & Fence is not responsible for violations of HOA rules or deed restrictions that were not disclosed to us prior to execution of the service agreement.
Lemon Grove Deck & Fence warrants its workmanship against defects in installation for a period stated in the written service agreement. Material warranties are provided by the respective manufacturers and are passed through to the customer where applicable.
Warranty coverage does not apply to damage caused by misuse, neglect, modification by others, acts of nature, or normal wear and tear. To make a warranty claim, contact us in writing at contact@lemongrovedeckandfence.com.
Except as expressly stated in the written service agreement, Lemon Grove Deck & Fence makes no warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lemon Grove Deck & Fence will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to our services or your use of this website, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from services we provide will not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific work giving rise to the claim.
